I am happy to let you know, that the conversation I had with Victoria Shen for Struma+Iodine in May, is finally online after her awsome gig at Westbahnstudios at Unsafe+Sounds festival in September.
Here is a little teaser, in case you do not know her yet:
“It is like sculpting experiences” – A conversation with Evicshen
Victoria Shen plays the trumpet to warm up for the interview. She is not a conventional musician with classical training, but a self-taught allrounder – for what she can’t do she quickly figures out ways of doing it. She is known for her noise music performances and experiments with self-made gadgets and instruments. It is already late at night on this first night of donaufestival, and a few months ahead of Victoria’s performance at a Ventil Record’s Night at Unsafe+Sounds Festival in Vienna.
