Bianca Ludewig is a cultural anthropologist, journalist and record collector. She studied philosophy, cultural anthropology and European ethnology in Germany, followed by a PhD in Austria on “Transmedia Festivals”. Her book “Utopia and Apocalypse – Gabber and Breakcore in Berlin” was published 2018. In her research she investigates ambivalences of (post)modern life and counter-strategies in art and culture.
Her research interests include audio social communities & club cultures, sound & electronic music, gender & diversity, events & festivals, working conditions in the culture industries, the economization of art & culture, digital technologies.
