Julia Just. Now. Sonic quantums for a post-democracy
Julia Just has been exploring, generating and manipulating electronic frequency spectra for some time now, but she has only been performing live under this name at local and national experimental events for around three years. Her long overdue debut “Analogy of the Unspoken” (TM014/WSMTML67) is therefore razor sharp. It radiates with finesse like a brand new set of Damascus knives. Just resynthesizes everyday noises into soundscapes that hypnotize our auditory canals with precise urgency, vibrating and reverberating. In doing so, they set the unspeakable to music, such as the unease of a present that is getting out of hand.
