September 13th 2025 – OFF THE RADAR Festival Hamburg w/ Jukebox Utopia

The OFF THE RADAR Festival, organised by Hamburg’s Hafenklang collective and their fellows, will this time take place as a decentralised event at various subcultural venues across Hamburg. It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know the city and its musical subculture, as well as to experience a number of international acts over four days – from 11th to 14th of September 2025.

“Since the first OFF THE RADAR saw the light of day in New Zealand, we have not only significantly reduced our ecological footprint; by not organising any events for years, we have now almost offset the climate damage we caused back then. Nevertheless, the world around us is getting worse and worse. So it’s time for new formats. Space for new festivals. Ears for new sounds. We want to network, meet on equal terms and stand together against the general horror, oppose it, perhaps shake things up a bit. And still celebrate through the table. In (almost) the whole city, in many stable venues. With new friends and old companions. A cleansing storm, so to speak. A sustainable storm surge. A beginning. We have a lot planned: first, a decentralised city festival. Let’s go.

“It’s not enough for us to put on concerts and set off rave grenades; after all, OFF THE RADAR has never been a simple music festival. We draw lavishly from all genres of melodious sounds and noise surprise bags, from avant-garde, punk, up-tempo and down-tempo, live and sampling, robotics and theatre, performance and art. In public spaces. In the shadows. In the light. With brutal words and musical noise. Spoken, sung, slurred, whispered. With delicate force and powerful delicacy. On well-known stages in this city and in holes from which the pestilential breath of the past still emanates – but which will shine. In September.” (offtheradar.net)

I have my slot on 13 September at 1.30am at Golder Salon and there will be a bit of hip hop, a bit of metal, and of course hardcore/gabber. Come one, come all, sheep and shepherds, to this great festivity, let’s light up the dance floor on September 13th at Hafenklang!
