R.I.P. Equinox Records! Das Label Equinox von DJ Scientist war LiebhaberInnen des Instrumental und Experimental HipHop sowie des „organic sounds“ stets ein Begriff und ein Qualitätsmerkmal für ebensolche Musik an der Schnittstelle von HipHop und Elektronika. Traurigerweise hat das Label nun nach 10 Jahren und 50 Releases im August geschlossen. Aber jedes Ende ist auch ein Neuanfang! Ein Interview und eine Fahrt durch die Equinox Diskographie mit DJ Scientist.
Today, I would like to announce that Equinox Records is closing. The “Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3” album, the 50th vinyl release on the label, marks the final item. The closure has been a decision made in late 2011. At that time it almost seemed impossible as the label has been my life – today, it has proved to be the right step.
